Avez vous une carte son Sound Blaster plutôt ancienne ? Avez vous repassé un coup de service pack 1 ? A défaut, dans démarrer\exécuter, utilisez la commande

Occasionally, on compiling or building the project, I get a BSOD, with what look like memory addresses (sorry, I didn't write them down by hand...), and an accompanying file name like "kmixer.sys" or "tcpip.sys". This leads me to think that I am trying to allocate too much memory in the program.

Prior to this installation I got similar errors, NTOSKRNL.exe TCPIP.sys and one that read BAD_POOL_CALLER ??????? these were without a service pack... I reinstalled and it seemed to be OK until I started SP4 install, now it will boot and I can login, but after a minute or two it BSOD's.

Having done that without incident, and able to get into VGA mode, I restarted NT to add service pack 5 from CD and was promptly BSOD'd. The message was STOP 0x0000001E kmode_exception_not_handled and the file was tcpip.sys with sysver 0xf0000565. Rebooted; same result. Info from MS KB site indicates that best fix
